"You have crowned the year with your goodness, and your paths drip with abundance." (Psalm 65:11).
How does the Lord crown the year with his goodness???
Was the whole of last year good?
How does the Lord crown the year with his goodness and care???
The goodness of the Lord does not mean that everything will go well
So what does the goodness of the Lord mean???
The goodness of the Lord is that we experience the intervention of the Lord's hand in all matters of our lives.
The goodness of God is to see how He embraces us with His tenderness and care in the midst of sorrow and pain.
The goodness of God is to see His unexpected ways of meeting the need.
The goodness of God is to see how He intervenes, heals, and gives joy and peace in the midst of humiliating and hurtful situations.
The goodness of God is to see how He defends us and restores what was stolen.
This goodness, which we experience personally, helps us to rise above sorrow and pain and above all distress.
So we enjoy the divine presence in the midst of any distress we are exposed to.
The lips turn to praise and thanks, and doubt turns to certainty.
So we experience and declare as Job said:
"I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you." (Job 42:5)
The goodness of the Lord is to know the Lord with a true knowledge that will not be shaken, and this knowledge will not be tested except through hardships, difficulties and storms, and thus we will not allow the enemy of souls to doubt that the Lord is good, the Lord is good.
So we will be a living testimony to others.
We bless the Lord and declare His love, mercy, care and goodness in the midst of every hardship.
1 Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.
3 Who forgives all your sins; Who heals all your diseases.
4 Who redeems your life from the pit; Who crowns you with lovingkindness and steadfast love.
5 Who satisfies your desires with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalm 103:1-5)
"Wait on the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; Wait on the Lord." (Psalm 27:14)
The Lord commanded us to keep His words so that we would not be shaken.
Jesus said: "Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).
The Lord commanded us to keep His words so that we would believe that He is always with us.
The Lord will not abandon His children in their distress.
Thank you, Lord, because you will crown the new year with your goodness, care, protection, and peace.
May your morning be filled with the light of Christ
