1. "Worship Accepted by God"
There are many worshippers on earth, each following his own religion, doctrine, and way of worship. Every group has its own rituals or order of worship. But does God hear all of them despite the differences in their beliefs, which may sometimes even contradict one another? Has God not laid down a path of worship for humanity, or has He left people to rely on their own interpretations, leading to differences and disagreements? And do all these religious movements, despite the disputes among their followers, lead to God’s approval?
Otherwise, what is the worship that is acceptable to God?
Since our God is a God of order and peace, not of confusion and strife, He has left us in His Word what illuminates the way before us, so that we may draw near to Him according to the biblical pattern He has revealed to us, and in a manner befitting Him as a holy God.
We must not forget that, in the past, the Lord did not have regard for Cain or his offering (Genesis 4:5).
We know that God established the system of atoning sacrifices to remove what separated humanity from Him, allowing people to draw near to Him with their sins covered, until the fullness of time came and Jesus died on the cross as an atonement for the sins of the world. Thus, the era of animal sacrifices, ordinances, and works came to an end, and drawing near to God became possible through faith, on the basis of the blood of Christ. In this way, a new covenant was established, fulfilling what the Old Covenant had foreshadowed.
"For he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6 )
