"If God is with us, who can be against us?"
The presence of God with you and by your side is the greatest privilege by which the Lord distinguishes His beloved and those who fear Him throughout all generations.
You may be rich in knowledge or wealth. You may be blessed with a happy family life, many friends, and a good reputation—and all of these are good things. But to have God with you is the greatest privilege of all, in every age.
Wealth may fade, and beauty may pass away. Circumstances may change, and days may turn in ways we never expected, in a world that knows no true stability like the one we live in. You may find yourself alone one day. A war, a sudden crisis, or something else may take us by surprise and steal peace from the earth.
Yet what keeps your life in peace in the midst of every storm is the presence of God with you. He is your peace and your protection in every circumstance.
"As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him."(Psalm 103:13). "If you keep the word of the Lord and do not deny His name, He will preserve you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world. "(Revelation 3:10)
And as long as you hate sin and live in the holiness of truth, He will bless you with His glorious presence and extend His help and guidance to you.
And if you should wander away even a little, you will hear His gentle knocking at the door of your heart. He will awaken your spirit and warn you. Perhaps He will prick your heart and convict you of a sin, while at the same time extending His help to you so that you may overcome it and live in freedom in this land of exile.
Then the eyes of faith will behold the glories of eternity.
Do you not say, as the two disciples on the road to Emmaus said to Jesus after His resurrection:
"Abide with us, for it is toward evening and the day is far spent. And He went in to stay with them".(Luke 24:29)
**May His presence remain with you, in every season, through every storm, and until the eyes of faith behold the glory of eternity.**
