"Our only hope is in You, O Lord."
To whom shall we go, O Lord? You have the words of eternal life.
You alone are our hope; You are the light we have known and believed in.
You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
When the roads narrow before us and our hearts grow heavy,
we find no refuge but You, and no hope except in You.
Our eyes turn toward Your Cross, where perfect love and true salvation are revealed,
and toward Your presence, which fills the emptiness of our souls and calms the turmoil of our spirits.
Come, O Lord, by Your Spirit, and touch every weary heart.
Enter into the depths of broken souls and heal hidden wounds.
Enlighten the confused thoughts of the youth, and grant them a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Comfort mothers in their fears, and embrace children amid every distress.
You are the source of life; in You was life, and Your life is the light of all people.
And though many have loved darkness rather than light,
Your love still calls, and Your grace continues to draw hearts to You.
We pray to You, O Lord, to enlighten hearts,
to draw souls to Yourself, to open eyes to see Your salvation,
and to pour out eternal life upon all who seek You sincerely.
Come also to our land, and spread Your peace within it.
Guide the hearts of leaders and rulers to do Your will
and to submit to Your divine wisdom.
O Lord, we have no hope but You.
You are our living God, to whom we cry out with all our hearts.
Answer us, come, and fill us with Your presence and Your peace.
