A Fountain in the Valley of Tears

"Those who pass through the valley of weeping, they make it a fountain" (Psalm 84:6)

It is our responsibility as true believers to be a fountain of joy and gladness to this world. Shedding tears should not prevent us from being joyful and singing with tears on our cheeks, singing and praising our God even if we are in prisons. For if we are sad in times that the world calls times of sadness, and rejoice in what it calls times of joy, what difference is there between us and them? And what is the meaning of the apostle's saying: "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, rejoice" (Philippians 4:4)

Do we omit the statement: "always" or forget to emphasize the statement: "And I say again"? Rather, how do we interpret his statement: "Rejoicing in hope" (Rom. 12:12)? Is not hope constant and continuous before the eyes of our faith, or does it come and go at one time? The truth is that we have reasons for true spiritual happiness as people who have been saved and have passed from death to life, and are walking under the guidance and leadership of the Spirit of God, who have adoption to God, and the honor of being connected to the Lord Jesus, who have a glorious future and future glory. Yes, we have reasons for all of these that make us the happiest of all people.

It was our duty as we passed through this valley to fill the air with songs and hymns, and our joys and pleasures spread to all parts of the earth, and others see in our lives the true happiness they seek, and come to the Lord Jesus to share our joys with us, and thus our joys are multiplied. As long as we are depressed as if we have not received anything that makes us happy, as long as we neglect and forget those blessings, as long as we close our eyes to that hope placed before us and turn a blind eye to it in many cases, how can we expect our joys to be abundant for us and for ?others

Our responsibility as true believers is to be a source of peace and peacemaking for this valley, and the Bible requires us to be peaceable with all people as much as we can, and our Lord who is the Prince of Peace has previously said to us: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you" (John 14:27). May we live like him, live in peace and preach peace, and how beautiful are the feet of those who preach peace!
