Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers.But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law he meditates day and night.He will be like a treeplanted by the rivers of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. And whatever he does will prosper. (Psalm 1:1-3)

When we plant a tree, we need a seed or a seedling, and in order for it to grow and become big, it needs:

Good soil

Water

Air

Food and fertilizer

And pruning

And in order for the tree of our spiritual life to grow, we need:

First: The seed of faith that believes the words that the angel said to the Blessed Virgin

"And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore also the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)

Second: We need good soil, meaning that we leave room for the Lord to plow it and remove any stones and impurities that hinder our spiritual progress.

Third: We need spiritual air , so that Christ is the air of our lives.

We breathe Christ every day.

"For without Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)

Fourth: We need water, the Holy Spirit, which refreshes the heart and makes the tree of our spiritual life live.

Fifth: We need food and fertilizer, the Word of God, which purifies and grows the soul.

Sixth: We need pruning so that the tree of our life becomes strong and bears good fruit at the right time.

I have the tree of my lifeLord

I need Your Holy Spirit to guide my life as You desire.

Do not allow me, Lord, to walk in the way of the wicked. Keep me, Lord, away from the crooked ways and the ways of sinners.

Help me to discern and stay away from the councils of mockers.

Help me to hear, understand, and act on Your Word.

Draw me to Your Word, Lord, and help me meditate on it day and night.

I want to remain a tree by the streams of water by the waters of Your Word that yields its fruit in its season.

And everything I do will succeed.

Help me cling to Your Word so that my life will not wither, Lord.

I need You, Holy Spirit of God.
Draw my heart to sit and enjoy solitude with You, Lord, and be the first in my life.

I need Your Holy Spirit to fill me with the spirit of wisdom and revelation of Your knowledge, to refresh my life and raise me up again.

“I love those who love me, and those who seek me early will find me.” (Proverbs 8:17).
