"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:11).
The angel preached to the shepherds and told them that a Savior was born to them today.
Why did the angel say that Christ is the Savior???
And from whom does the Lord want to save us????
Many of us carry worries and burdens, but Christ came to give us true rest and deliver us from our burdens.
But unfortunately, we leave the source of rest.
And we leave the One who said:
"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28).
Many of us imprison ourselves inside the prison of sins.
Christ came to save us from the bonds of sin. His desire is to unchain us and free us from all sin.
But unfortunately, we reject this Savior and delight in the prison of sin and remain its slaves.
"If the Son therefore sets you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36).
Many of us feel fear, especially the fear of death.
Christ came to save us from all fear, all despair, and all loneliness and He declared to us that He is with us.
"Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel" (which is interpreted, God with us).
Jesus said: “Take heart; it is I; do not be afraid.” (Matthew 14:27).
He also said:
“And behold, I am with you always, even to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20).
But unfortunately, we reject this Savior and refuse to have Him with us.
And we insist on remaining in the prison of fear.
Many of us remain in the prison of sorrow, self-pity, and mourning the loss of loved ones, and Christ is the greatest Comforter.
Jesus said:
"I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever." John (14:16)
Jesus came to save us from all weakness, sorrow, and lamentation. Unfortunately, we reject this Comforter. Is Christ a true Savior for our lives???
He wants to save us from all burdens, worries, sorrows, and fatigue so that we may be a green, evergreen tree. He wants us to remain by the streams of water, by the water of the Word, so that we do not wither.
To expel from our hearts all worry, anxiety, sadness, fear and need and pour upon us the joys of heaven, joys that will not be taken away from us
"But I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you." (John 16:22).
Jesus came to establish his kingdom within our hearts and save us and grant us the best life, eternal life. Do we accept???
Our Heavenly Father
Open my insight, light my heart, help me and have mercy on me by the power of your Holy Spirit
O Jesus
I accept you as Lord and Savior of my life
I believe in your birth from the blessed Virgin Mary.
I believe that you are my Savior, my Lord and my God
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh" (1 Timothy 3:16).
10 The angel said to the shepherds, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people:
11 For to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:10,11)
Christ is born, Hallelujah
And a glorious Christmas in the light of Christ
