5- Who is the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is God Himself, not just a force. The Holy Spirit came to glorify the Lord Christ. He is one of the three hypostases equal to the Father and the Son. He is the Comforter, the Guide, the latent power that works in man, who gives us strength to bear witness, helps us, leads our prayers, sanctifies us, renews us, and gives us birth again.

What is the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of the preacher?

1- He dwells in the believer.

The Holy Spirit dwells in man when he accepts the Lord Christ. The Bible says, "…Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."(John 3:5) He also says,"Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?"(1 Corinthians 3:16)

2-Filling a person with the Holy Spirit.
Being filled with the Holy Spirit means being filled with God Himself "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me"(Galatians 2:20) Being filled with the Holy Spirit is a continuous and renewed experience. This is what we express in the concept of spiritual breathing, as in normal breathing, a person exhales the corrupt exhalation"confession of sin” and receives a pure inhalation"requesting the filling and authority of the Holy Spirit."

Being filled with the Holy Spirit helps us to live a life of victory, the Bible says: "Likewise the Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses…" (Romans 8:26)

There are three enemies of the believer:

1-The world

The word of God says:"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."(1 John 2:15)

The world does not mean people, and the world does not mean the globe. We are required as believers to love all people, and to love our enemies. We also love the globe because it was created by God. But the world here means the behavior or the global system that is filled with evil, sin, and corruption.

2- The Body
"And I say, walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh."(Galatians 5:16) The body does not mean the physical body, the tangible flesh and blood, but rather the corrupt nature and inherited sin.

3- The Devil
The Bible says:"Be sober, be vigilant. For your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."(1 Peter 5:8) But the Word of God comforts and strengthens us, saying, "…for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."(1 John 4:4)

Why does a believer not live a life filled with the Holy Spirit?

1- Lack of knowledge
Many people do not know that there is power available to the believer, the power of the Holy Spirit. The believer continues in a life of brokenness and defeat, not understanding that God has great power available in the power of His Holy Spirit, which every believer can enjoy in the indwelling and filling of the Holy Spirit.

2- Lack of faith
Many fear God and do not trust Him, doubting His love. As if God is asking them to do impossible things.

How can you be filled with the Holy Spirit?

By faith, by faith you become a Christian, you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you walk by the Holy Spirit, and you testify by the Holy Spirit about God’s work in your life to others. Faith is the language that God uses to deal with man. Confess sin and ask the Lord to rule over your life, to possess it, and to take the lead.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is a command and a promise. The Bible says,"And do not be drunk with wine, in which is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit."(Ephesians 5:18) It also says, "And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us."(1 John 5:14)

God has promised to hear you, so certainly when you ask Him to be filled with the Holy Spirit, this is in line with God’s purpose and will for your life.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is not taking more of the Spirit, but having more of the Spirit in you.

What is the role of the Holy Spirit in delivering the message?

The Holy Spirit has two roles. The first role is to convict sinful man who is far from God,"When He comes, He will convict the world of sin and righteousness and judgment."(John 16:8)

The second role is to work in people’s lives, preparing and equipping them to receive and be affected by the Word of God,"And when they heard it, they were pricked to the heart…"(Acts 2:37)

Finally, I want to remind you that the Holy Spirit is the servant’s partner, the greatest partner. He is the one who sanctifies us, makes us understand the Word of God, prays in us, renews us and dwells within us. He helps us in our testimony, gives us strength and comforts us, and works within the person who is far from God.

But beware! The Holy Spirit may be grieved, and the Word of God says: "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God… We can also quench the Spirit, as it says in (1 Thessalonians 5:19)
