6- What evangelistic means can I use?
Evangelistic means
There are two methods of evangelism:"group evangelism and individual evangelism."In group evangelism, we use some evangelistic activities, such as: a evangelistic trip, a evangelistic party, a evangelistic conference, a evangelistic group, or the Internet as a group evangelistic means as well,"and we will talk about evangelism through the Internet in a separate lecture."
As for individual evangelism, it is delivering the gospel message face to face, or online, but not in a group. In individual evangelism, it is like someone using a hook. As for group evangelism, it is like someone using a large net to catch many types at the same time.
There are some evangelistic means that are used in individual evangelism, such as:
First: Evangelistic abstracts.
There are many abstracts that talk about evangelism and often the content is the same, although they differ in form. But they all talk and focus on the love of God, the sin of man, and the only solution in Christ Jesus.
An example of these evangelistic abstracts is the method we use in the four spiritual truths (or principles), which is presented in the following way:
The first principle: the love of God .
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) When you talk to someone about Jesus Christ, it is essential that you begin with a positive truth such as God’s love.
Principle 2: Man’s Sin.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) We are all born with sin as a result of the original sin that we inherited from our father Adam.
The third principle: Jesus Christ is the solution.
Man constantly tries to reach God through his own efforts, but all of them fail, and the only solution is the Lord Jesus Christ, the gift of God who became sin for us, who became a sacrifice for us to open the way between sinful man and the Holy God. There is no other solution, for He is the only way for man to reach God.
The fourth principle: Making a decision.
Man must make a voluntary decision, whether to accept the Lord Christ, or to reject Him.
These are the four principles or truths that we can share with a person far from God. However, as we share with any person about the love of God, there are different types of people we can meet.
The first type:
The simple person who is open to hearing the message. When you ask him, do you want to start a new life with Christ? He simply answers, "Yes" and prays and accepts the Lord Christ.
The type: The second
The rejecting person who says he lives happily and does not want any change to happen in his life. This person may enjoy sin, or there are reasons that prevent him from accepting the Lord Christ. You have to understand that this person may come a time when he needs the Lord Christ, and continue with him and explain to him what to do when he needs the Lord Christ.
The third type:
The person who pretends or claims that he accepted the Lord Christ, but in fact he did not. You can ask this person to tell you about his personal experience, and how he accepted the Lord Christ? Then you can be sure if he is a true believer or if he understands the Christian life and the new birth in a superficial way, such as trying to stay away from evil or doing good. In this case, explain to him that Jesus Christ needs all the heart, and that he needs forgiveness of original sin and sins related to inherited sin.
The fourth type:
The person who rejects, but when you try with him and show him the advantages resulting from his acceptance of the Lord Christ, he may respond because of these advantages. The word is about the love of God, the death of Christ, and the need of sinful man for salvation.
The four spiritual truths are not the only means of individual evangelism, but there are other evangelism means, such as: "Hazhaza", which has some facts drawn on it that arouse people’s curiosity to ask.
Also, evangelism can be done through Bible stories such as the story of the Samaritan woman, or through the use of the lives of saints such as Saint Moses the Black and Saint Augustine.
The personal test is also one of the most successful evangelism means, as it talks about three stages before accepting Christ and how your life was, and the second part: How did you know Christ, when did you first hear the message, and the third part: How did your life become after accepting Christ, how do you walk in the spirit, how did Christ change your wrong concepts.
Individual evangelism is one of the most successful evangelism means, as you deal with the person face to face or online and know his needs and respond to him.
As for group evangelism, you use the "monologue" method to deliver the message to a large number of people with different needs. In general, whether the preaching is individual or corporate, we are all called as believers to participate in communicating the message of Christ with others.
Application
Think of two or three people from your family or friends, and use any means of individual preaching, whether a brief, anecdote, a cube, a personal experience, a biblical story, or the story of a saint. And certainly the one who commanded you to go and preach the Gospel to the whole world promised that he would be with you.
