Before the first meeting is important. We always say that the best time to follow up with a new believer is between 24 and 48 hours after accepting Christ as a personal Savior, so that Satan cannot introduce many doubts, or fall for the first time into sin, and tire this new believer.


What do you do before the follow-up meeting? 
- Explain to him the importance of this meeting.

- Explain to him what will happen in this meeting.

- Let him prepare for the meeting well in advance.

- Set the place and time.

- Make sure to pray for the person before the meeting.


What do you do during the meeting?

-   Stick to the appointment.

-   Note your clothes.

-   Note where you sit.

- Inquire about what happened with him during the past period.

- Make your seat close to him in a suitable way that allows for a direct relationship with him.

- Help him know how to extract verses from the Bible.

– Ask him to read the question.

– Be enthusiastic, friendly, patient, motivating, and encouraging so that he continues to follow up.

– Notice your voice if the follow-up is at his home.

– Encourage him to join a group of novice believers.

– Use simple aids, such as: the Surety of Salvation Train.

– Share your news with him, and ask him to share his news with you.

– Respect him, respect is a duty and required.

– Be clear about the duty required of him.

– Be clear in specifying the place and time for the next meeting.
