2-  What are the principles of discipleship?

There are principles that we must establish as the Lord Jesus established principles of discipleship for His disciples:

1-  Perseverance:

The Book of Acts says:"And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayers." (Acts 2:42)

2-  Belonging:
The belonging of the disciple and the discipled is a double belonging, a vertical belonging to the Lord Jesus, for He is the head of the church,

and a horizontal belonging to the body of Christ, for we are His members. The Bible says:"For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones."(Ephesians 5:30)

Also, belonging is a challenge. The Lord Jesus says, "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."(Luke 14:26)

So ask yourself, "Is there anything in your life that disrupts your vertical belonging to the Lord Jesus? Is there anything that disrupts your horizontal belonging to other believers?"

3- Discipline:
The Apostle Paul teaches us that everyone who struggles disciplines himself, as he says:"But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection…" (1 Corinthians 9:27) and discipline is in thought, feelings, speech, relationships with others, and the relationship with God.

4- Meekness:
The word"meekness"came in its original language to mean “the ability to learn." The meek person is the one who longs to learn from his teacher and live his life.

5- Submission:
Submission is in two directions: vertical"submission to God", horizontal ‘submitting to one another in the fear of God."(Ephesians 5:21) Submission is twofold, as you cannot submit to God without submitting to the one who disciples you, cares for you, and teaches you.

Finally, think carefully,
