Who are those whom God has chosen to preach?

God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, the weak things to shame the strong, and the lowly things of the world, the despised things, and the nonexistent things to bring to nothing the existing things. The preaching work depends on the work of the Spirit of God in the believer

There are some qualities that a believer must have in order to be an effective and successful preacher.

The first quality: to be a true Christian
a) To preach the responsibility of a believer, it is unreasonable to ask a sinful person who is far from God to talk to people about Christ. So you must be sure that you are a true believer filled with the Holy Spirit

If you are not sure that you are a true believer and a child of God, pray now and ask the Lord Jesus Christ as a personal Savior for your life, for He says:"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20)

The second quality: to be a believer filled with the Holy Spirit
The Word of God says,"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Acts 1:8) The Spirit of truth, the Comforter, the Spirit of wisdom is the one who sanctifies us, guides us, and teaches us the truth

The third quality: to be a student of the Word of God
The Word of God is the bait on the preacher’s hook, it is the seed that bears fruit in souls. The Apostle Paul says,"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it The power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…"(Romans 1:16)

The Bible also tells us to "…always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you…"(1 Peter 3:15)

"And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." (Ephesians 6:17) So you should memorize key verses that you can use as you preach

Qualification 4: Live a Life of Prayer
Prayer is communication with God. He wants us to communicate with Him. Prayer glorifies God and builds a strong friendship with Him. The Bible commands us to pray for ourselves, for others, for believers to grow in the knowledge of God, and for the lost to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

The fifth quality: To be confident in God
George Mueller says: "The circle of faith begins where the possible ends."When you trust in God and believe in Him, the impossible stops.

One of the biggest lies in this age says that people do not need the Lord Jesus, and do not want to accept Him, but this is not true, for the Holy Spirit has created a hunger and thirst in souls that cannot be quenched and satisfied without Jesus Christ.

The sixth quality: To be proactive and courageous
If you want to fish, take the initiative and go to the sea and take with you the hook and bait. Thus in evangelism, you cannot sit in your place and wait for people to come to you so that you can tell them about the Lord Jesus. The Word of God says: "Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,"Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach against it…"(Jonah 1:1, 2)

Manage your time as a believer and make witnessing about Christ a priority in your life. Don’t be discouraged if someone refuses to accept Christ. Christ has a time in every person’s life. Preaching takes courage, like Peter on the day of Pentecost when he spoke with all authority in the power of the Holy Spirit. Don’t go out if you are filled with fear, and if you go, don’t be afraid.

Characteristic 7: Being Zealous
There are some believers who don’t care about getting the message of Christ out. The Word of God says,"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14)

The eighth quality: to be humble

The preacher must have a true love for souls, for he cannot preach to a person whom he does not love

The ninth quality: to be a good communicator
In preaching, you cannot go to a person you do not know and talk to him directly about the Lord Christ. But you must first build a good relationship with him, know him and know his needs, then choose the right time to present him with the message of Christ

The tenth quality: to be aware of what is happening around him
We now live in a world of information, so you cannot go and preach to a person and you do not know what is going on around you. Know something about politics, sports, technology, about anything that is going on around you. You can communicate with him and create a common conversation before you preach to him

Finally, I tell you that God needs you to be a faithful witness for him. He is not looking for people with huge degrees, or those who study in theology colleges; but he is looking for someone who has a real passion for preaching the gospel, filled with a passion for winning souls, filled with the Holy Spirit, not relying on his personal abilities and skills, but relying on the power of the Holy Spirit.
